IT Service Manager
Contract Position
Starting Date: ASAP
Contract Duration: until 31.12.2024 with high possibility to extend.
Workload: 40 hours a week
Our client is one of the largest Banks in Europe. As an IT Service Manager within the Retail Customer Engagement Team, you’ll play a crucial role in shaping the future of customer-centric banking. Their dynamic environment fosters agility and collaboration, allowing you to bridge the gap between agile development and classic IT services.
Responsibilities:
• Responsible for the efficient operation of our IT cloud services, including implementing and enhancing essential services such as Incident & Problem Management.
• Ensure alignment with our established IT process framework and safeguard existing products from impacts resulting from changes.
• Coordinate and manage an international team of Data Engineers, DevOps, and suppliers. Actively contribute to analysis and solution finding to address issues promptly and effectively.
• Take a leading role in creating and adapting contracts, optimizing infrastructure, and managing costs and performance.
• Serve as the interface to agile streams, ensuring deployments do not compromise the quality of operations.
• Provide hands-on support during critical situations, including working after regular hours or on weekends if needed.
• Support the delivery manager and product owner on cross-functional topics, including IT process framework, budget management, management reporting, and security.
• Maintain approved budgets and ensure the team has the appropriate skills and staffing levels.
Requirements:
• Extensive IT background, with a focus on the financial services sector.
• Demonstrated proficiency in IT Service Management; ITIL certification preferred.
• Experience in vendor management and negotiating contracts.
• Proven track record in agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and associated collaboration tools (JIRA, Confluence).
• T-shaped expertise in IT domains, particularly Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and Solution Architecture.
• Foundational understanding of banking products and workflows, or a strong willingness to deepen this knowledge.
• Exceptional communication, presentation, and facilitation abilities.
• Collaborative team player with a service-oriented mindset, strong commitment, and motivation.
