We are working with an award-winning data and AI company based in NRW who are currently looking to hire an experienced Data Engineer that has good knowledge with the Azure ecosystem. Our client is at the forefront of building bespoke AI solutions and data platforms for their customers who are some of the most recognised brands across the DACH region.

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement Data Warehouse solutions, utilizing the capabilities of Azure services such as Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure SQL Database, Azure Synapse Analytics, and Azure Databricks.
• Build, refine, and sustain ETL processes using advanced tools like Databricks and Spark.
• Establish and manage CI/CD pipelines.
• Create and refine data pipelines and data models to achieve optimal performance and operational efficiency throughout the entire data ecosystem.
• Coach / Mentor junior team members

Requirements:

• Good understanding of Azure Cloud Technology
• Knowledge within Data Factory, Databricks, and Synapse is an advantage.
• Strong experience in Python or Scala
• Knowledge of Big Data, Hadoop and/or Spark stack
• Experience working with Databases (SQL and NoSQL)
• Strong interest in Artificial Intelligence
• English speaking (German nice-to-have)
